Kompan, a leading global designer and manufacturer of playground equipment, approached London South East Colleges with a brief to engage local young people by offering opportunities of work experience that would benefit local communities.

Working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Kompan’s goal was to engage with students who could act as creative practitioners and make an impact in their local area.

After approaching the College’s Work Experience team, our Bexley Campus Level 3 Diploma Art and Design students were set the task of producing unique mural designs to invigorate two playgrounds in Plumstead.

The project was inspirational to the students who took to their task with relish and the standard of the artwork produced has been exceptional.

With the commission completed and painting work for the two murals set to begin soon, we can’t wait to see our students' amazing artwork at the two sites. They are sure to add some much-needed brightness and colour to our local playgrounds.
