This course provides you an opportunity to gain broad knowledge and understanding of, and develop skills in the Information and Creative Technology sector. You will learn about online world, services and communication, and the impact it has on business, social networking and online security. You will develop a holistic understanding not only by learning about hardware, software, networking and database but also the relationship between them. You will also acquire creative, communication and presentation skills, through designing and producing a digital portfolio.

  • What you will study

    This course includes three mandatory units that form the fundamental knowledge and understanding of information and creative technology principles. In addition to these, it includes a choice from optional specialist units, thereby providing you an opportunity to develop a broader understanding of the Information and Creative Technology sector.   • Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) (English and maths desirable) or a Level 1 qualification.

  • Assessment

    You are going to take onscreen exams for the two mandatory units that are externally assessed. For the remaining units you are internally assessed by completing practical assignments and to showcase what you have learnt and accomplished you will build a digital portfolio of your work. You will also be able to take additional classes in Mathematics and English and gain separate qualifications in these subjects.
